A day in Wyoming

I was sent to SW Wyoming (the state) for a work meeting today. Far and away, the best thing to do after work in this town is fish trout in Ham's Fork river. I talked to locals who seemed to think flies and live bait would be the only effective option. Turns out, they were wrong. I didn't have a tape with me, but I landed 5 trout (2 bows, 2 browns and a splake!) that I would judge to be over 20", lost 5 more big 'uns and landed several smaller browns and rainbows. I failed to catch my first cutthroat, but I'll survive. Wow, what a day!

I sure hope the company sends me back to WY again. A non-resident license is $14 a day. I thought that was unreasonable when I bought it. After today, I may have to buy another for tomorrow.

Way to go showing the locals how to catch their own fish grin Well worth the 14 toadskins too! I have a buddy out there (western Montana) who wants me to join him float fishing sometime...sure would like to make that work.
