ZapMan
Has anyone put on a Fulton Fold Away Hinge Kit on their tongue of their boat trailer? My trailer does not fit in the garage and i'm wondering the pro's and cons of the project. Does it make the tongue too weak?
MJBaldwin
I am not sure about the Fulton brand name but my girlfriends Dad has a fold away tounge on his trailer and loves it said he would only buy a boat trailer with one of them on there. Works wonders the the average consumer that doesnt have a nice shed/barn.
Bigtom
I would say it it the same strength, its the same pin thats in your receaver hitch. I have one that came on a shorlander trailer and it works great. Just make sure you have a spare pin because some people are priks and do steal them from experience. I am not to familiar on the fulton brand.
TroutYammer
Just make sure you have a spare pin because some people are priks and do steal them from experience. I too had someone steal my pin. As a result I now carry a spare in my truck and another one in my boat. Ain't never gonna go through that again.Anotehr tip is to get a hitch lock and a receiver lock. That slows down the theives and the joksters.
bearberg
Had a Fulton Swing hitch installed this Spring, and it works well. Had it installed at a welding shop.
walleye 4 me
I installed the Fulton kit on mine this spring. Love it! Pretty easy to do. As long as you do not have surge brakes it should work great.
