StrangeBrew
Has anyone replaced the side mirrors on a mid 2000’s Chevy Silverado? I have the side mirrors with the electronic motor in them but the visibility on the passenger side in very low. I am looking to replace with the bigger manually telescoping mirror.I called GM but for a 2005 model, GM doesn’t make any other mirror. When I shopped for aftermarket models, I am told the plug in for the mirror will not work because in addition to power and turn signals; I have memory, heat and auto dim features on my factory mirrors.I am not concerned with loosing these features I just want bigger mirrors so I can see.Does anyone know of replacement mirrors or has had issues with viability on the factory mirrors?I am pulling a 35 ft horse trailer that is 8 ft wide. The little factory mirrors just done cut it.Thank you
LightningBG
I'm looking for something like this too, for when I'm pulling the enclosed sled trailer. Would something like this be sufficient. this one is from northern tool
PierBridge
A friend of mine just bought some cheaper telescopping mirrors from Napa. He doesn't really like how they look, he's a style guy lol. I know he is going to order some aftermarket mirrors "CIPI" from one of many online dealers that carry them. If you google towing mirrors you'll get a bunch of options.Good luck
PierBridge
Those are similar to the one's my friend is going to order LightningBG. I think the telescoping ones while they look much gaudier give a bit better vision as they extend out further.
upnorth
I'm looking for something like this too, for when I'm pulling the enclosed sled trailer. Would something like this be sufficient. this one is from northern tool I use these on my truck and they do allow me to see all the way back to the end of the trailer(we tow a 28' 5th wheel), and when they are on they look like they grew there.
