spotlight?

I would assume most of you guys out chasing cats at night bring some sort of spotlight with you to navigate the unknown areas. mine just bit the dust and i was wondering if there were some good suggestions for a new one around or under $50.

I have a 3,000,000 candlepower spotlight, i think i bought it at C&S, about $30. It has an A/C plug, so i have a $2 plug that hooks up to a 12v battery. It only shines as far as the fog and bugs are thick! I Also run a flood light on the front of the boat for constant lighting in the immediate area in front of the boat.

I wouldn't suggest running full speed at night on the river, though i can't say that i don't...I did just find a 5" crack/gap in the bottom of my boat from this spring hitting logs at full speed.

i've been using a brinkmann 2 million. have had it for at least 5yrs, although i only use it for fishing i've been impressed with batt. life. it also came with an extra batt which is awesome for those long nights. bought it at wallmart, but it's been a while ago. i think it was 40 then
