Problem with HDS 7

I just bought a new used boat this spring with a HDS 7 and 5 on it. My dad just got home from a week long trip up north to informed me that the HDS 7 is not obtaining a satellite signal therefore it doesn't show your position on the lake. I went threw the everything that I could think of trying to find out if he accidentally turned off something but found nothing. I then did a hard reset and still no luck. The unit is updated to 4.0 and everything else is working properly. Any other ideas on things I could try or somewhere I could take it to get this fixed. Would like to have this for next weekend. Thanks for any input.
