buying from out of state dealer?

hi folks

I’m looking at buying 2011 Polaris 600 LXT 2-up, new from an out-of-state dealer.

I’d prefer to buy locally, but there are very few dealers that have any 2011 clearance/leftovers and if they do, they want around $1000+ than I’m being quoted. Incidentally, I’m getting a quote of $7499 + 79 doc fee with NO other add-ons/fees (except tax).

MSRP is $9999 for this sled.

besides making sure there aren’t any additional suprises (prep fees, whatever), is there anything else that I should be concerned about?

Repair service - will MN Polaris dealers tell me to take a hike or will be fine w/ honoring the warranty? any advice would be appreciated.

I’m really debating whether to pull the trigger OR wait until new 2013 models come out:

Does anyone think Polaris will be adding a 2-up Touring RUSH to their lineup in 2013? I kinda think they might phase out the IQ chassis based on the RUSH’s popularity.

thanks!

I don't think you'll have a problem getting warranty work done. It's my understanding that the dealer gets paid by the manufacturer for this work (at least, that's the way it's done in the automotive industry). I can't think of anything else to look into, as long as you've agreed on the price over the phone. In my world, $1,000.00 is a lot of money and I would travel out of state to save that much as well. Good luck with the new sled.
