Powerdrive V2 with iPilot & wireless foot pedal?

Wish-I-Were-Fishn

Question

I know you can't use the stock foot pedal on a V2 PowerDrive motor when you have the iPilot option, however, why couldn't you use the wireless foot pedal in conjunction with the iPilot?

"Side-to-side steering pedal includes momentary/constant on switch, speed control knob for precise adjustments. IP-68-rated waterproof plug. Plug-n-play with Riptide SP or PowerDrive V2 bow-mount trolling motors. Works in conjunction with CoPilot."

Good question, I'm curious too.

Ahhhhh.....I'm thinking/guessing...maybe....yes? whistle

It may take an adapter to split it and one would work or the other, but not both at the same time...just a guess?

Let us know what you find out.

You cannot. I just went through this. With the PD V2, the wiring is changed when the i-Pilot is installed and the foot pedals WILL NOT work. At all. My experience has been that the motor and speed functions will work, but the foot pedal will not turn the motor.

What follows is the response I got from Minn Kota when I asked the same question:

Jarrod,

When the I-Pilot is installed on the Power Drive V2 the wiring actually gets changed. So if you want to use the foot pedal you would have to do more then just unplug the I-Pilot head you would have to wire the motor

back to its original wiring. If you look at the pictures in the manual it will show you.

Best regards,
