Wish I could help but since I screwed up my knee I haven't been doing anything except rehab! Hope to get out soon.

What did you do? I just found out last week I can have a new knee when ever. I'll put that off till next year though...gotta plan those times right, gotta be able to get around ok but not back to work for the crappie spawn!!!!

Slipped on ice back in Dec. Dislocated right patella. In other words fell and knee cap wound up on side of knee instead of on top where it belongs. Force me into retirement after 33 years on the fire department.

About when is the crappie spawn there? Just moved my son to Springfield this weekend, and thought a vist and some crappie fishng would be a good thing.

Del, it will probably be mid to late April (maybe early May) if we have a good/mild winter. Any idea what lakes you may be looking at? I live in the northern part of the state but have a friend near Stockton and will check with him. Email me if you care to.
