Privacy Mesh Screens?

Recommended Posts

Our bathroom window is in the perfect spot on the main floor for our neighbors to see all of the business happening. We have louvered shades in there that we have to keep shut 95% of the time. Does anyone know if I can replace my standard mesh screen with a screen that provides a bit more privacy, like a dark screen?

I know they make dark screen roller shades but its not a screen that pops in the window. Conversely, you could just let it go like that Seinfeld epsiode where Kramer and Newman reversed the peepholes on their apartment doors.

Kramer to Jerry: "Our policy is: we’re comfortable with our bodies. You know, if someone wants to help themselves to an eyeful, well, we say, ‘Enjoy the show.’”

Lol. JK of course.

I know they make privacy shades that are a dark fabric, my wife has them at her office, more for sun protection than privacy. They seem to work pretty well, however I don't think they are cheap.

I run a frosted film on my bathroom windows. Mine faces the neighbors dining room. it comes on a roll, has a frosted pattern on it. just cut to fit and press on the glass. lets light in, but you cant see in.

The lady that lives next to me has cellular shades that either pull down from the top or up from the bottom. She always has them pulled so that they are open about a foot at the top, (bottom is blocked). We never see her, but she gets light in.
