Does carp shooting stay good through out the summer or does things drop off or pick up from here?

It stays decent as long as the water does not get murky as it heats up.

It won't be as great as during pre-spawn/spawn typically, but anytime you can find em at night there is always good shooting, and anytime there is flooding, regardless of time of year, it seems like the carp are always exploring the new flooded areas. One of my best shoots ever came in october. we were duck hunting a flooded pasture connected to a lake, and noticed while picking up decoys that the carp had moved into the newly flooded area. Went home, got the bows, and proceeded to fill up my otter sled 4 or 5 times that day for 2 of us.
