Lodges that will rent to lone fisherman

Recommended Posts

cruiseforever,

We have a couple of smaller cabins that we will rent to a lone fisherman, call or email me for more info. Lower Manitou has great Lake Trout, Northern, Small Mouth Bass and Muskie fishing.

why wouldn't a lodge rent to a lone person? Think they all would but you would just have to pay the full price alone. Where and when are you thinking of going?

I think most would rent to you if they have openings. But most would prefer bigger groups, which mean more money. And I totally understand that. I am using this as a short cut to find those places. I am looking any place in Northwest Ontario between Fort Francis and Red Lake. As for time, I am thinking the last week of June, yes it is last minute or Aug. into Sept..

Check Donneley's Minnitaki Lodge. They have smaller cabins for one or two people. We are there now, as we speak (they have wifi). I don't know off hand of their availability, but Sept is usually wide open. Great time of year to be on this lake, now and then (Sept).

Muskie Bay on Crow Lake in Nestor Falls, Ont. They have efficency rooms with beds and mini kitchen. They also provide a fairly inexpensive meal plan. You will have access to Crow lake from thier resort which is a good musky and smallmouth lake and with a short (about a mile) drive to thier ramp accesss to Lake of the Woods which has every species of fish. Also access to Whitefish Bay on Lake of the Woods is 7 miles and there are several other lakes in the area. Very accomodating owners as well.
