Keeping minnows in fridge?

I've had decent success keeping minnows in the lake for the first few weekends of the year and have also kept them in the fridge with an aerator. For those of you who do that, keeping them cool in the fridge do you feed them anything(fish food) if you are gone for an extended period of time? Any advice helps.

I don't feed them, but if I neglect them, which is rare they will feed on themselves. My experience with feeding bait is it dirty's up the water and living in the city water changes can be a pain....

OK I'm just lazy when it comes to changing bait water...

When I worked at Slippery's I would keep a bucket of them in the cooler.. would just switch up the water daily.. they live
