cats in high water

so where are prime feeding areas for catfish when the river is up and running high? what type of spots would you look for in a fairly high-gradient river with occasional rocky ledges? Water temps are about 62-66 right now depending on how much rain we get the night before mad

Cats fallow structure. I have seen them fallow sidewalks, road beds, even parking lots into flooded parks just like a creek channel or river bed.

Focus on any structural edges and ditches leading into the flooded feeding area in the most direct rout from deeper water. They will pass through there to get to the happy hunting grounds within.

I often use very large Pole Floats in this situation to get above the newly flooded junk and in there view and path of the cats. You can cover ground more efficiently this way too, and find there feeding trails.
