Genetic testing to determine dog breed

Hey all:

This isn't specifically about hunting breeds, but this seems like the best place to ask.

Has anyone gone in for one of these DNA tests to determine the breed of your dog? They aren't very expensive, and we've had a number of mixed breeds over the years. It's also not as though it's really important to know what breeds make Fido Fido, but we have a mixed breed that looks exactly like a 25-pound "Honey, I shrunk the golden retriever," and we've whiled away some hours over cocktails and Scrabble guessing what combination of breeds she might be.

Just don't want to spend the jing if it's a scam. We did see a reference to it on The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, but I'm interested in if any of you have used one of these services.
