96 Saturn Trans Oil leak

I just bought a 96 SL1 with a 5 speed. It leaking trans fluid BAD! I runs out of the clutch housing as fast as you can pour it in. After some research it looks like it must be the quill bearing on the input shaft, which doesnt look fun. Is there anything else in there it could be? I started tearing it apart tonite. Im ready to drop the frame and then the trans tomorrow night.

Any advice or tips?

I know you cannot pull just the motor on a Saturn with a manual trans. You have to pull the trans and motor together (for future reference).

I'm pretty sure you can drop just the trans out the bottom.

Well, got the trans out tonite. Not really sure what happend but something came loose inside and now there is a 2" by 3" hole in the side of the case! The only thing that was holding that chunck of the case in place was the end of the clutch arm. Got a line of a used tranny so that will be this weekends project.

Anybody know what the clutch disk should measure on this? Disk and Flywheel look really good. Flywheel doesnt hardley look worn at all and the disk measures about 0.245".

I guess I would just get an assy and replace the disk, pressure plate and pilot bearing since you have it out. For the amount of a kit, you would kick yourself if it goes out in a couple years!
