took the boat to the lake today to get it running. Went to step from the trailer to the deck and slipped and fell onto my trailer and went for a quick dip. The water was freezing and my legs are busted all to heck from the trailer. Be careful out there this season. I'm lucky i didn't break my leg. probably would have made a heck of a youtube video though. Good luck this season and stay safe.

You just reminded me of some slimy concrete ramps early in the season last year where I took a good slip in the middle of lauching the boat. I was surprised at the quick ramp angle. I did take the boat out for a ride, but I was wet and cold.

Ive fell a couple times. Once i kicked in about a dozen rods and lost 2 of them. The other time I fell in the lake by trying to stand where I shouldnt. That time I nailed my rips on the rail... Sucks when you cant laugh at yourself because you got the wind knocked out of you! Also remember to wear you lifejacket!

ya. only thing i had in the boat was my life jacket. normally i had a change of clothes, but since it was going to be a quick test run my boat was empty except for throwable and jacket. My legs look like i got attacked with a baseball bat today. oh well. hopefully wisconsin will treat me better this weekend.

It was my last outing in the fall several years ago in late October, cold water,winter jacket weather.Was loading the boat on a steep concrete ramp ,and, BIG TIME SLIP, landed in a foot of water on my back.....What a shock to your system!!!!!.....My nephew was laughing his rear off , while I was cussing a blue streak!......
