[Fish to Win]

A friend of mine advised me that I have access to 80 acres of farm land just west of Chatfield to bow hunt on this fall. I visited him last year there but did not pay much attention to checking out the land for hunting as I did not know it was up for the taking. Question, I always hear about the deer down there and the SE holding large bucks but having deer hunted all my life up north, is it that great down there???? Thanks- Looks like I have some scouting to do this summer.

I live and hunt in the county west of Fillmore, Mower, and I love it! Fillmore is quite a bit different though. Lots more hills! i would much rather be hunting the cornfields and fencelines than the thick coniferous up north. Fenceline bucks are amazing! Easier scouting, better/more obvious places for stands/trail cams etc. Fillmore gets hunted hard though which is the downfall but with the new 4pt antler restriction, which im not sure if Fillmore is included, id say hunting in the SE is going to be awesome in 2 years! lots of 120+ bucks! I hope that the antler restriction area travels west to include Mower Co. good luck!

I hunt west of chatfield a bit. That whole area is good.

I wouldnt waste my time anywhere near chatfield there are no deer here none
