toro winch 60

The backing will do two things for you. You need mono, tape, or something on the spool before the braid so the line won't spin. The other allows you to have a full spool to take advantage of the gear ratio of the reel and not have to use as much braided line.

The winch isn't going to move baits as fast as other reels due to it's low gear ratio and relatively small spool size. It just doesn't pick up line very fast.

Unlike an Abu 7000 which has a low gear ratio, but does have a much larger spool and will pick up line fairly quickly.

I would take a Winch over (3) 7000's though smile If you want a faster retrieve go with the Original Revo Toro HS 60. Picks up the most line of the revo collection. Winch is great for slowrolling blades because is is geared for heavy duty use in comparison. If you want to rip stuff get the HS 60 with a power handle and you will be set
