I'll be hunting april 18-22 in zone 223 in mn...this is my first time out so I'm staying optimistic. Any advise will be appreciated and I'll do my best to help the team...on the plus side I did some scouting this past weekend with great success.

What do we got for team names by the way...I'm thinking clucking nuts

I will be hitting Iowa April 11-14 on some public land. I might only get

1 day of hunting down there because of work. We had to bump up are Nebraska trip up week because of Easter (I didn't realize Easter was that late). So we will leave on the 15th for Nebraska and hunt 16-20.

Mn probably season G. Where I will attempt to harvest one with my bow.

Jellyheads works for me.

Sorry guys..my first turkey season is over and I am sad too say i am no help to the team, but the season wasn't a loss by any means. I had multiple hens come within 10-15 feet of me, and called in my first strutter to within 70 yards...I can't complain, I'll just have to wait until next year unless I get a fall tag which I hear is a whole new beast.

Ek, No apology needed. Remember the errors made and try not replicate them, learn from the experiences and be better armed for the next time you get after them in the spring........you are right the fall is a totally different cat....I don't even hunt them in the fall.

My Iowa trip didn't pan out so good for me. We managed to get my cousin one. I had a good opportunity on tuesday, but managed to get busted at 30 yards. Went back on Thursday for one more chance. Was working a bird, but I had to leave because of work. If I had just a little more time, I think i would have bagged him.

Nebraska was pretty decent, I took two 2 year old birds. First one had 1/2 spurs, 8.5in beard 18 pds, second 1/2 spurs 8in beard and 18 pds 2oz. couldn't find the the big birds. We had about 4 inches of snow one day to deal with.

my cousin, brother and brother buddy each shoot one.

The area where I will be hunting is very hit and miss. The population is just starting to get some numbers so we will have to see how things work out. I did some scouting yesterday and the land owner did say she has been seeing birds this spring so that might be a good sign.

Well, I went out opening morning and got my bird 10 minutes into it. It was only a Jake so I am not going to be helping with a great size bird or anything but it was my second year out and I didn't even hear one last year let alone see one. So when I did a call and one responded immediately and showed up with his girlfriends in a few minutes walking directly towards me I let him have it. I only wish I had let my boy skip school that morning so he could have taken it as it was a perfect setup for him.
