Well its gettin closer everyday been out scouting,and shed hunting at the same time seen some strutters last weekend ,got my 2 extra tags through the mail today!man there a lot of turkeys this year what a great hatch last year !Last year i was hunting and somehow i cracked my slate over glass Quaker boy friction call so ive been looking for one to replace it with found some close to it but not [the one]so i went to Quaker boys homepage to see if they make one similar to it theese days and what i found out on there was a shock to me,Richard Kirby the founder passed away last fall from complications from back surgery,the man was a true legend in the turkey hunting world, he started making calls in 70s i know i didnt start hunting turkey here until 88 and i had that slate from day one i cant even begin to remember the amount of birds i struck with that call but it would pull em in when others wouldnt awesome clucks and purrs it would do!this year when ya drop that big ole longbeard stop and think of Richard and his family they sure helped thousands of turkey hunters!
