Mudhole?

I am thinking of giving this rod building a whirl. Been on a few rod websites. Mudhole is considerably cheaper than a lot of other companies. What is the quality of mudholes graphite rods? Anyone care to chime in?

I have a couple I made for my kids ... hehe ... I like them. Considerablly cheaper than some of the name brands. They have a lifetime warrenty on the blank as well. They don't have a finish on the blanks, but are lighter that way.

I have built two rods useing thier MHX blanks. They were/are really nice blanks for the price! I will be building more with them...

I noticed also that they have some more 2 piece MHx blanks that are "comming soon". Including a 7ft med-lite for 1/16 to 3/8 oz baits. Will prob be my next jigging rod for 1/8 and 1/4's...

I have had very good luck with this company and their blanks have not failed me yet. they do have some out now in their CRB series that have gloss finishes in a few colors. And certainly the prices keep me going back.

Mudhole = good stuff. Cheap, excellent customer service, great HSOforum, fast shipping, and lots of sales on cork & guides almost all the time.

All the rods I've built have been mudhole blanks both the crb and mhx, the only color blank I personnaly didn't like was the blue, putting epoxy over the threads and sealing to the blank, the blank looked had a motor oil look to it. Just got done w/ the rose wrap on a purple rod, marking the blank by lightly scratching it revealed its a painted black rod so if you get one be careful. MHX series is the only transferable warranty I know of.
