Was thinking about upsizing deep cycles from 27's to 29's. The trays in the boat are 13 by 7 1/8. Looking at most of the 29 group batteries seem to be right at 13 inches. I have a few questions.

Would my current tray be too tight?

Should i cut the lip of tray off to accept the 29?

After seaching I haven't found anyone who carries a 29 tray?

Is it worth upsizing?

I am going through the same thing. I have series 27 trays and think I will just trim them and move them a little to fit the 29 series batteries. Since I have two, I will just trim the inside wall and use a little spacer to keep the batteries from rubbing.
