where to buy native fish for aquarium

I have been to 4 or 5 pet stores and none of them have native fish for sale any help would be great.

Is there any place that will sell fish in the south metro area??? Or just in the metro area?? I am also looking for some but dont know were to go. Any help will be great. Thanks

There was a pretty good thread going about a month ago about native fish in aquariums. I'd try doing a search for native fish or native aquariums and see what you can find for older topics. I know there was a lot of good info in those threads.

A World of Fish in Richfield used to carry a limited selection of natives. Try calling them, if they don't have any they may know where to find them.

No joy at World of Fish.... They didn't want to carry the license required. Down the block is a store called Something Fishy. They do carry a few natives but BEWARE!!! This store is mainly for salt water and these guys don't know squat about natives. The tanks they used for their natives looked terrible. Dirty, green and nasty. The fish that were still alive, looked half dead and on their way out... Can you say hook worm?

There's a store in Crystal.. Aquatropics... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! All my natives came from them. Tanks were clean, well kept and healthy. Great folks to deal with as well. Not the least expensive, but well worth the drive and the extra few sheckles. And... If they ain't got it, they can get it!!

BTW... If you see a big white Ford in their lot sportin' a F.M. sticker... Moose-Hunter's "in the house"...
