Owl calling works!

After hearing a Barred Owl Hoot in my White Pines I let my Owl call go off out of the window and here is my result! It works!

Shutter, it's a call I downloaded from some birding software to a MP3 player. One call and it came in instantly. I'm going to try some other species soon! I don't know if I can say the brand name without the monitor scolding me.

Also, what is the title of the call. In other words, what's it suppose to mimic?

The software is Thayer Birding Software. They have a good HSOforum that explains what you can all do with it. The call is just a basic Barred Owl call. Yesterday a friend was over and we did it again, this time without even knowing it was around. He was here in about 15 seconds. It really freaked my buddy out!

Looking at my software box it says you can also download to an I-Pod or an I-Phone the calls and pictures of the birds. Sort of a mobile field guide.
