Guest
Um, this isn't a post about "MAC/Windows" its about helping a fellow fisherman out regarding what he's currently running and what he has to work with.
irvingdog
I'm aware of that "Webwarrior". It was a little nudge. Thats all. I surely didn't mean to hurt anyone.I will, however, take my proper scolding due to my lack of web-ettiquette like a man.

Gonzo
Another vote for Adaware here - I was fighting the "ABOUT:BLANK" homepage for a couple of weeks, cleaning out the registry, etc. I was running Adaware almost daily, and last week, it wiped out the "ABOUT:BLANK" issue. great product for free, and regular updates

Guest
big_fish_guyActually, msconfig comes standard with Windows XP so I don't see why it wouldn't work. All he has to do is click on Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG and press enter and then he should get this window Then all he needs to do is click on the "startup" tab and uncheck the applications that don't look familiar to him and then reboot. ALSO, zone alarm DOES work for popups and advertisements. You just have to dig to the advanced settings and set it up to block popups and hide your PC for more privacy. Here is my settings and they work just fine for pop ups for me. But then what do I know, I just do this for a living.. Frozenminnow,There are alot of other options out there. I know my solution isn;t the only one but I was just trying to help out a fellow fisherman. Little buddy,You will get your sucker minnow. Where should I send it to OR should I give it to you at the next FM get together?
