We have a south facing porch too, I'm planning to get an early start on

maters next spring, was thinking of a plastic green house but the porch idea makes a lot more sense. Not sure what to do about the Brussels Sprout

program, I've had limited success with them in raised beds, maybe should

be planting them on the north end of the beds?

I dislike Brussel's sprouts, but my wife loves them. We've planted them a couple times in our raised beds and they have done very well, as have all the other cabbage family veggies we've put in. Hmmmm. Makes a fella wonder what's going on, doesn't it?

Of course, if your "up north" is a good bit farther west or a bit farther south than mine, you are experiencing hotter summer days than we do in general.

I made 10 of these global buckets for this spring.

I guess I will see how they work. Wife really liked the idea.
