Rattlesnake training?

Are there any local MN trainers that do snake training? I.E. training a dog to avoid snakes?

Also, what are your thoughts on the vaccine? I've heard some people say they don't think it works.

Never heard of it, but it reminded me of the time when my wife, dog, and myself were hiking on the North Shore, and he grabbed a garter snake. My wife is TERRIFIED of snakes; her screaming coupled with our great dane whipping around a snake--I could not stop laughing!

The best rattlesnake avoidance trainers are from the South. Many are in Texas.

I think vaccines are a local thing. you need it from the area you plan to hunt. They vary from region to region

Our Yellowstone Pointer Club here in Billings Montana puts on a snake breaking clinic every June. The vaccines are local & dependant on the species of snake. The snake breaking is the best way to go for avoiding snakes it last the life of the dog. Had all my dogs done when we relocated in 2008 and we have encountered 20+ snakes so far in 3 seasons here.
