Purple mushroom found on a portage several years ago in the Isabella area.

camped in the issabella area for many years and never saw one like it. are these edible? i'm assuming they are not common. nice looking however. good luck.

Don't know if they're edible. Wouldn't want to risk trying!!

Looks like something in the Cortinarius group but there are other mushrooms that can be purple. The Cortinarius one is edible, but reportedly not that great tasting.
