LoonASea
A few weeks ago I picked up a 2000 Polaris Classic Touring,,,,The previous owner told me that it needed a new battery but I have yet to pick up a new one,,,Any way for xmass I got a "jump starter" charged it up and hooked it up to the sled ,,,,,the starter spins but wont come out far enough to engage the fly wheel ,,,,It starts on the 3rd pull so the starter isnt all that important at this time I just dont want to buy a new battery and find out I have a starter issue also ,,,Any one have any ideas???LAS
DTro
Mine was doing that last year and I thought for sure the starter was bad. As it turns out, it just needed a new battery. A semi weak battery doesn't have enough voltage to engage it.
