Think I lost 2 tip-ups tonight on Clear Lake?

I just got back from fishing and couldn't find my 2 frabil thermal(orange) tip-ups. I was on Clear lake off 35W, just south of Forest Lake. I'm wondering if someone might have picked them up. They're 2 orange frabil tip-ups, both with braided line. One has a quick-strike rig w/ two treble hooks, the other has a single red treble hook. One tip-up has two LED lights in it. I'm a broke fisherman, and that's a bit of money in tip-ups... It hurts!!! If you picked it up please let me know, I'd love to have them back!

Thats a bummer and I hope you get them returned? Did they fall off your sled or just forget to pick them up? Anyways, if money is tight-try righting your number on your equipment and hopefully a nice person will find your lost equipment and return them to you. I usually do a quick inventory on my equipment (well-mostly my expensive equipment) when I get back to my vehicle.

Good luck , I hope someone one here runs into them or maybe someone on here can help you get some cheap tip ups or teach you how to make a homemade one.

Good luck with the recovery. Engraving/carving your info into plasic gear can help with recovery if it is stolen as well, hard to hide that vs writing it on with a marker.

I have never bought a tip up because I prefer to just chip other peoples tip ups out from the ice. I have three.

I'd return them if they had a phone# on there.

Thanks for the tips guys. I will write/carve my name into my stuff in the future. I had already asked for a couple more tip-ups for Christmas; my goal was to have a little arsenal! So, hopefully I've got a couple under the tree!

Pulleye, I did notice when I got back to the truck and did an inventory. I figured they fell off the sled. I walked the entire path I took with flashlights and spotlights and had no luck.

Still, maybe somebody found them and will return them! If not, hope they catch some fish!
