Trophy "male" Fish

Are there any record books for trophy fish that include a male category?

Let's hear some of the trophies you've caught that you knew were males. I know it can be very hard to tell if they are not milking without cleaning.

I have caught a 21" Sauger(released) that was milking. That has to be as uncommon as a 31- 32" walleye. I consider it one of my best catches.

I was muskie fishing a lake bout 5yrs back over a deeper weed bed in 17' of water. Middle of the day tween 11:00 and 2:30 bright sun, trolling a 10" jerkbait that only went roughly 5' down. To my surprise ended up catching two male walleyes, both measured 28 1/2". Neither one of them weighed up, scale in the boat said one was 5-6 and the other 5-7.

In 1990 I landed a 27+ pound king salmon from the Lester River. At the time it would have been close to but not quite a state record. I never did anything with it other than to photograph it and smoke it. I thought I'd have spawn galore, was I surprised.

They weighed in a 10#....30" male walleye at the Lake Vermilion Pike River Hatchery this spring!
DNR guy said it was very fat and healthy. He also said it was the largest male he has seen to date.
