Blue flashing light near mirror

I have a flashing blue light coming from a small plastic box on my windshield near the rear view mirror. I think it is for the Homelink garage door opener function in the mirror. Anybody know what this means?

What make and year of car is it? I believe the homelinks only flash while in program mode, and most I've seen are red or amber but anything is possible. Does the little box look like a factory part or is it possibly part of an aftermarket installation of a remote start or security system?,

The blue flashing light was actually on the antenna for my auto start. It was telling me the remote was in the doors locked position. I had unlocked the doors using the factory key fob remote instead of the Viper starter remote. Once I knew what the cause of the light was it was simple to push the unlock button on the Viper starter remote and the light went off
