Snow is Tough!!

Buddy and I geared up with bows and snowshoes and made the trek to our stands yesterday evening. The snow and drifting were tough for the near mile long hike, and there were next to no tracks or sign in our area. Appears the deer have found a different food source.

Kind of depressing, but that may have been my cue to pack up the hunting gear until next season. Hope others are having better luck!!

Deer all over will be vacating fall areas and head for traditional yarding areas. If you're not in or near such an area, it's about a waste of time.

Jimmy - I hunt between Cologne and Chaska on a small piece. Pretty quiet this season.

it is real tough...i was down in the louisville swamp wma last saturday during the storm , by the time i walked out the drifts where over my knees , and i didnt have snowshoes which made for a very long and tiring walk out...got some today though for some winter exploring down there
