Got the priviledge of hunting some private CRP and had lots of fun. Flushed a dozen roosters and least that many hens. Birds were holding pretty good so we were able to get some good shoots in. Condtitions started a little rough with blowing sleet but that quit after and hour. Outside edges of plowed fields to crp was holding at least half the birds the rest seem to come off ditch egdes inside the crp. If I could shoot worth a lick we would have been headed home around lunchtime.

My son was able to shoot the new gun and see some real birds in the wild and watch some good dogs work- GREAT experience to be with him all day.
