winter carp at nuke power plants?

I've always wanted to do that! Go out on mille lacs or something in one of the popular areas and just swim around and grab people's line. It'd make for some good stories.

BTW, i don't think i could break 150lb braid if i tied it to a tree and got a running start. I've pulled awful hard on some big sturgeon with 65lb braid and have yet to break off. And I'm by no means a little guy at 6'2" and 240lbs.

In high school I used to fish carp at a street runoff discharge in MPLS. The water wasn't that much warmer but it was enough that they would bite. Caught them on corn, candied cherries, and a variety of dough baits. Also caught buffalo, dogfish, crappies, etc. Just a bit of water temp difference was all it took.

It was a Monster I swear!

Hey, I heard Peppie went missing from Lake Pepin. Maybe she's up there?

Back on topic...

I've seen carp caught on corn out of the King discharge in the dead of winter. But that was right in the canal. The access problem at the nukes makes it a little tough.
