2002 polaris pro x 440 opinion?

im thinking about getting a polaris pro x for my next sled (upgrade from jag 340) the one im looking at is 1500.. are they decent sleds? i hear they go through motors regularly? im just nervous about dumping money with out some opinions (:

I've never been a fan of fan cooled sleds, especially the 440's.

I would try to find a 2002 600 XC SP. They should be right around that $2000 dollar mark, and are way better sleds!

A lot more snort, and reliability. Polaris' 600 motor is bullet proof.

I would go liquid with whatever amount it is you decide to spend. You should find options out there. The 440 Polaris liquid would be a good choice or a 600XC as already mentioned. They're plenty fast and dependable as well. Good luck.

For $1500 ( maybe a tish more ) you should be able to find a late '90s early 2000's Arctic Cat 500 / 600 liquid with EFI, plenty of power in an upgrade like that for ditch bangin and trail riding, EFI is a great thing!
