kurtkwe
I'm looking to buy a new or used muzzleloader with the following kicker. It must be legal to hunt with in Colorado. They have several rules as follows:No loading from BreechNo sabotsNo smokeless powderNo electronicsNo scopesMinimum 50 caliber for elk and 210 grainsIn line is legalNo pellatized powderShotshell primers are legalGiven the above what gun would you recommend? Also where to buy, I don't mind spending a little extra to buy from a local dealer who knows the product. I'm new to this sport and would appreciate any advice. Thanks

HooknHorns
If in line is legal, and you use powder with 50 cal powerbelts over the min. grain, most guns will work for ya. Just have to find what you like as far as weight and style. Don't know if I would pay the extra money for a fluted barrel but, the easier the breech comes out would be worth it. Some new models don't have open sights on them so keep that in mind. Have fun shopping!
