First, the obvious, check coolant rating.

If you think there's a chance that you might need to start it before the weather warms back up into the 50's or more, you might want to consider adding anti-gel. Here's the problem with deisel fuel. If it does gel, the fuel needs to get back up to over 40 degrees to liquify again and so your filters could become clogged and not able to clear. In other words, if you don't treat the fuel, it drops to below zero (#2 fuel) and it gels up, you can expect it'll probably be sometime in May before you can get it cleared to run again. Pretty inexpensive investment to add to your fuel.
