Jim Almquist
Hey Ice45You really should share some of your pics of your ice rod as well. Good looking stuff that you have made is always very cool.
Dark Cloud
Nice looking clean paint jobs. Try some two tone eyes and/or stripes on em. Not sure if the fish care but they look nice in the box.

hydro
I like the shape of those ice jigs. If you don't mind sharing, how did you make them? Were they solder "blobbed" with an iron or were they cast in a mold? I have been making similar jigs most of my life and seldom purchase any in stores anymore. Just last week, I modified an old bullet head crappie jig mold to get a heavier jig head and allow the cavity to accept larger hooks. They were tested on Friday and proved to be very effective. I know you wil enjoy catching fish on those ice jigs as well!
ice45
I Had a machinist cut me a couple of molds out of the do it mold blanks that are blank. Pretty spendy but i like what they turned out to be like. They are then poured with lead.
Dark Cloud
Looks like he used a HT marmooska to make that mold? Good idea! There are alot of homemade and stock molds out there. I have every jig manufactured ... but I only seem to use my own creations... Heres a pict of some I make. Options are endless...

Dark Cloud
Most of whats there is lead. Anything with a bead - the beads are tungsten. The spoons are blades with soldered on hooks(they did a number on crappies and perch last season ) Im working on some more new tungsten stuff now... Ice45 - wasnt trying to steel your thunder in this thread. Just trying to give you some painting ideas...
