PomPoms on the stock would be a great way to tell wind direction, better yet, hang them off the end of your barrel so you know how much you should compensate for windage. Then you could do a little cheer after you shoot your deer.

I often tape a piece of thread near the end of the barrel. Its a handy visual reference for wind direction when you just have a light breeze.

Hey Steve - did you stick with the Federal tipped Expanders like we talked about last year?

I'm going to dial my slug barrel again in the next week - last year the thing was basically MOA at 100 with the Federals - and as flat-shooting as any slug I've played with. Of course, a guy suffers with the recoil, but its a small price to pay.....
