Painting Decoys

Recommended Posts

I have some older faded goose decoys that could use a paint job. The bodies are still ok, but the heads are faded. Just wondering what people have used as far as paint. Exterior house paint, spraypaint, satin, semi-gloss?

A good rattle can flat black and flat white,ya might as well touch up the tailend thats even more of a attractor then heads.. Clean em rough em with either a wire wheel or scuff with hand brush wash em off with a solvent let dry and paint...

There are many methods all call for clean..

Otherwise flock'm grin

Well I spray painted a few of them ultra flat black and they seem to look a little better. I will test them with my other flocked decoys tomorrow to see how well it worked. If it's still off I'll just have spend the money on the flocking kit.
