Pedestal deer mounts

Recommended Posts

If your interested in browsing go to a huge taxidermy HSOforum and on their forum you might find the pedestal and pose you're looking for. I have seen one in particular custom mount with the buck working a rub. The weight of the mount was attached to the tree.

That's a cool pedestal stand - haven't seen one like that before. I had thought of doing something similar with my sheds but floor space is limited so I'm thinking a wall-mount is in order. I thought this was a cool one for the wall...

Lots of great forms & habitat available to create unique mounts. Picking out one is the hard part! Thanks for posting that - hopefully we can get a few more posted or if anyone else is interested or looking for ideas, I've got quite a few saved on my computer I could post too.

I've already got a taxidermist, just wanted to get a few more ideas on forms & pedestals. If you ever consider a pedestal, check out the Joe Coombs 9500 form. It's got a lot more shoulder on it that shows the true size of the deer. Most pedestals really cut out the shoulder and make the deer appear small. That was my only turn off to them.
