DrJ
3year old lab has been sick for the past year on and off. Chest X-rays picked up some stuff in or around lungs last fall. Treated with anti-biotics and seemed better. Then treated for anaplasmosis and seemed better. Still eating was fussy and didn't gain weight ,but didn't lose either.Still had a lack of energy. Now with an specialist and we have done 3 different tests and all are neg. He's convince he has blasto and wants to do something called a tracheal wash next.Tests are approaching 2K now. Then treatment is $25/day for 6 months. ANYONE have any insight if this can cure him or what we can expect from this medication. Vet says this med could make him very sick or could possibly kill him. Thanks for any info you can provide. duckbuster
Well if he does have Blasto go get your meds from Mexico!!! 4 pills a day at $10 a pill in the states, $4 a pill from Canada yet $1.25 from Mexico. Exact same packaging, same mfg means you tke a weekend trip to the southern border and still come out ahead. It did take 6 months of pills for mine 6 years ago to save her. She did lose an eye but lived to tell about it.GOOD LUCK!!!!
Lip_Ripper Guy
It's ugly, and expensive. I had a scare 3 years ago with my lab after a trip to SD. After a bunch of tests, she turned up negative for blastomycosis, and just had ring worm and some sort of pneumonia.
