Texas Boar Hunting

I'm heading to San Antonio in a couple weeks. My son is graduating from basic in the Air Force. We'll have a couple days, and I thought about taking him wild boar hunting. Does anyone know where that can be done down there? Thanks.

tons and tons of hogs down there a lot of guides and lots of public land, you could even get on some private land by knockin on doors

Here's what gets me about the so called Texas hog hunts. Hogs are a menace in those parts but, some rancher won't do anything about them tearin up thier place. Instead they soak outta staters to come to thier place to rid some of the vermin when instead, THEY should be paying shooters to kill em off. I was stationed in San Antone for 11 years and had my fill of "Texas Style Hunting". It's a rip. I don't know if the Lackland Rod and Gun club still exists but you could check with them. I ran the club for a few years back in the early 1970's.
