Gulls are fun ...

....and certainly challenging. Wildlife is pretty scarce around here this time of the year, but you can always count on these herring gulls hanging around. Foss inspired me last fall with his gull in flight shots. They are a willing subject, but definitely not easy to shoot on the wing. I had many more misses than hits, but it sure makes for fun practice.

They were both shot at ISO 400, Av 7.1, EC +2/3 with the first at 1/1000 sec. and the second at 1/1250 sec.

WOW! Those are some tack sharp in flight shots. Very impressive.

Both are very nice! I like the glitter of the eyes.
