I have more Chickadees this year than I've had in a long time. Must have been a good hatch!

So far finches are looking pretty healthy. No eye problems.

My feeders in Tonka have been over-run with the usual Chickadees, Finches, and other small birds and bunches of Cardinals. The feeder spill has been attracting lots of Mourning Doves to compete with the squirrels. One area of my back yard has been a magnet to numerous Northern Flickers. I think they must be feeding on ants. Seems to be a lot more birds than other years. At least, we're going through a lot more feed.

MicPic, Is there a common problam with finch's eyes? the reason I ask is because about two weeks ago there was one on the feeder that was all messed up, it would sleep on the feeder i could walk up to it and it would not fly away, it looked like the eyes were all watery and coverd in gunk, it was like it didnt even see me standing there
