Bear Cubs From Vince Shute

Hubby and I spent 2 weeks in Ely, Mn at the end of July. Visited the Vince Shute Sanctuary and it proved to be a great photo opportunity.

Nice work, Vicki. Shute is a great place to get up-close and personal with wild bears that are too wary to approach out in the woods but are so tolerant of people when in the refuge.

You are very correct. We have a very heathly population of bear here in Pa and liking the outdoors we have encountered many bear in the wild and in the area of our cabin but not to allow for such good camera shots. My Dad was a deputy game warden here in Pa for 25 years so I grew up with exposure to the outdoors, hunting and nature. My better pictures always seem to be the ones connected to the outdoors. The cabin and woods are were we head whenever we have free time. Thank you for the praise and encouraging words. Vicki
