You aren't advocating managing a fishery for the fish you want it managed for you.

The sad thing is that as we fishermen continue to fight amongst ourselves PETA wins, without even lifting a finger.

Ummm...How does PETA win in this situation? PETA really has nothing to do with this debate.

I one side makes four comments about how the other side is not treating fish ethicly . and they come back with three comments about how the other is not treating fish ethicly . That gives peta 7 peices of ammo to use against both groups on how they are not treating fish ethicly.I would not have thought that needed to be explaned but there you go.

So we throw talking about ethics in hunting and fishing out the window because somebody is afraid of what peta will think??

I guess no more talking about taking clean shots while deer hunting, or don't keep fish out of the water to long so they have a better chance to survive??

I did not say we should not talk about these things . only that I am not naive enough to think groups like peta are sitting out in boats taking notes when they can do that from thier living rooms

Then let them take notes.

Just because peta thinks hunting and fishing should be outlawed doesn't mean we can't live our lives without being in fear of them.

To stiffle discussions about ethics in hunting and fishing because of fear of a group that has a black and white view of the world is self-defeating.

That is not how any of us should live our lives if for nothing else out of respect for the resource.
