Genofish
How do i troubleshoot the electric choke to determine if it is working correct?? I have confirmed that when the key switch is depressed for the choke there is power on the choke terminal on the switch. The motor hasnt been starting like it has been and have been through the fuel, plugs, etc. Does this motor even have a electric choke? delcecchi
Can you see in the carb throats? You should be able to see something move if the choke is doing its thing.
marine_man
Your motor actually has a electric primer on it.. not a butterfly style choke. Here's where it's located.. you should be able to see if you have power to it when the key switch is pressed in, and should be able to remove it and make sure the solenoid is moving. marine_man
