B.C. Mountain Goat

I thought I would share a picture with you. I had to climb 7 mountains to get this guy and get back to camp. It was a fly in to a lake, climb to tree line for spike camp, and then climb mountains until you get a shot. We saw him from down below and were able to climb above and sneak within 50 yards. For a 52 year old fart I am pretty proud of how well my body held up (6 miles a day and 200 crunches for a year helped alot!). If you have a dream.. go for it!

Cheap? No. Affordable? Yes. It takes planning and prioritizing. I process wildgame sausage to help pay for hunts. The gent with me referied 125 basketball games! I'm thinking either a shoulder or front half mount.

A goat hunt is definitely on the bucket list. Congrats on achieving your goal and taking a nice billy. He'll make a fine addition to the trophy room.
